Here's a rundown of Singapore policy measures since Sept 2009 to date

Find out what has happened from the removal of Interest Only Housing Loans in 2009 till the loan tenure cap this year.

According to DBS Vickers, MAs' latest move is likely to have a modest negative impact on the residential market, particularly on volume sales, as shorter loan tenures reduces “affordability” of buyers. It also continues to highlight the government's watchful stance on the residential market, especially when HDB resale prices remain buoyant.

"At this point, among the demand-curbing actions that had been taken during previous property restrictions periods but have yet to be implemented this round include further raising the cash downpayment quantum."
