Mapletree records 6.2% profit rise

REAL estate group Mapletree Investments recorded a 6.2 per cent rise in full-year net profit to $793 million.

The increase for the 12 months to March 31 came as the firm, which is wholly owned by Temasek Holdings, continued to expand regionally and enhance its capital management business.

The company said shareholders' funds grew 12 per cent to $6.5 billion while it recorded a return on equity of 12.8 per cent. The average annual return on equity for the past five years is 13.1 per cent...
