Continental group to open $36m R&D hub

EXPANSION is on the cards for the Continental group with the imminent opening of a new $36 million research and development centre in Singapore, as it works to strengthen its presence in Asia.

The centre, which will open in July this year, will complement Continental's operations in Singapore and will focus on in-car information management systems, which include electronic and software components like the seat controls, multimedia systems and speedometers.

The German-based Continental group is one of the leading auto suppliers. Its systems are supplied to many global car companies, including BMW, Volkswagen and Toyota...
